This page was created in response to a discussion that began on the Combat Mission forum.
It consists simply of the articles published by Lt. Col Kennedy and Lt. Col Nash about
The Forgotten Soldier. Kennedy's article first appeared in the Spring 92 issue of Army History.  There followed some exchanges in the pages of Military Review before Nash published his own article in  Army History in the Fall of 97.  When that article appeared, Kennedy was afforded the opportunity to respond.  This site has these three articles plus a latter to the editor written by Stephen G. Fritz, author of Frontsoldaten (University Press of Kentucky, 1995). Readers can make up their own minds about whether The Forgotten Soldier is authentic or not.

I would like to thank Kimberly from the Leighton Barracks Library for her assistance in obtaining the articles.
